Pulaski County 4-H Country Ham Project Club Meeting Dates @ 5:00pm:
- February 16th (Communications Workshop)
- March 16th
- April 20th
- May 18th
- June 15th ("Sales, Marketing & Communications Workshop")

July 20th (Country Ham Potluck - worth 2 hours for attendance)
This will be how 4-H youth get their education hours. Mark these dates on your calendars!
- Field trips may be offered as well!
Important Dates:
- Ham Curing Day - January 19, 2026
- County Communications Contest - TBD
- 1st Ham Washing Day - May 14, 2026
- Sales, Marketing & Communications Workshop - June 15, 2026
- Final Ham Washing Day - August 11, 2026
- Kentucky State Fair Ham Day - August 13, 2026
Kentucky State Fair & Speech Requirement
- 4-H Youth will be required to give a speech at the KSF on August 13, 2026.
- Please hold this date and be prepared to spend the entire day at the KSF.

Giving a 3-5-minute presentation at KY State Fair on the required topic:
Junior (Born 2012-2016) TBD
Senior (Born 2007 - 2011) TBD
Please note – ALL SENIOR PRESENTATIONS MUST BE AT LEAST 2 MINUTES LONG OR THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND HAMS FORFIETED.
Show & Sale Country Ham Auction Participation
In order to be eligible to sell a ham at Show & Sale in September, 4-H youth will need to complete the following additional requirements:
- Participate in the Pulaski County 4-H Communications Contest
- Attend the "Sales, Marketing & Communications Workshop"
- Create a display board showcasing your experience with the project
